Open Source H/W

  • Open Source Hardware (OSHW) is a term for tangible artifacts — machines, devices, or other physical things — whose design has been released to the public in such a way that anyone can make, modify, distribute, and use those things. This definition is intended to help provide guidelines for the development and evaluation of licenses for Open Source Hardware. “Open Source Hardware Definition”
  • ‘Open Source Hardware Platform’ is an idea that WIZnet is pursuing. We open the firmware and application source codes and hardware schematic in the homepage, and also sponsor Open Hardware Summit. A lot of engineers and hobbyists from all over the world are joining the Design Contest hosted by WIZnet every year, and show their creativity.
  • WIZnet’s Hardware TCP/IP solution has been adopted by Arduino’s Ethernet shield and its clones. Based on the Open Hardware Platform, We will provide the Internet Connectivity Solution that can be applied to any system more easily and quickly.
